About

My name is Alana Bowman and I am a *cough* 30-something *cough cough* year old English Graduate and an HND qualified photographer.

I’ve always had an interest in photography from a young age when I was handed a film camera when I was a child by my mother and she ended up with a lot of prints of shoes sitting on a doorstep and washing on the line in the garden. It was in 2009 that I began to take the subject more seriously and I undertook my Higher during high school and managed to achieve an ‘A’ using my little Casio Exilim EX-FH20.

I took some time away from photography, going to university and completing a BA(hons) in English studies before coming back to do an HNC in photography. The rest, as they say, is history.

I enjoy taking photographs of landscapes, natural history, architecture, and sculptures and tombstones, however I’m always willing to try my hand at other types of photography.

My tools of the trade currently are a Canon 700D, a Canon 17-55mm kit lens,  a Canon 10-18mm wide-angle lens, a Canon 50mm prime lens, and a Sigma 70-300mm telephoto lens.
